Maybe a not very meaningful test, but how does it do with the previously problematic "ditches" vector from Maciek?

I recall that buffering a suburban road network was also a tricky test for the old v.buffer. maybe it helps you as a test for the new version?
(spearfish or NC test datasets, or OpenStreetMap extraction)
