 With a recent version of NVIZ garbled images are created when saving
 either tiff or ppm files, when NVIZ is not:

 1. the top-most window
 or
 2. not completely on-screen (moved such that part of the window is off-
 screen)

 This is on Linux x86. Not sure if this is an OpenGL bug, or what...
