 The opacity set for a vector map in the Layer Manager has no effect on how
 the vector map is rendered in vdigit. If one checks "Area..." in vdigit
 "Symbology" properties, closed areas are rendered 100% opaque all the
 time. It would be udefull be a ble to "see through" colsed areas in
 vdigit.
