 is this still valid ? It works for me in grass65, mybe it applies only to
 grass7 and milestone should be changed then?

 nviz_cmd JRxytz9908_4mt60_00006 mode=fine resolution_fine=1
 output=jr3d_nvizcmdtest format=tif size=300,300

 GRASS 6.5.svn > gdalinfo jr3d_nvizcmdtest.tif

 Driver: GTiff/GeoTIFF
 Files: jr3d_nvizcmdtest.tif
 Size is 300, 300

 the result is the same with ppm format
