 Sincerely, I am a bit confused here. According to the change history
 nothing but the decorated names being added and the CPL_STDCALL lines
 being removed has been changed:

 https://trac.osgeo.org/grass/log/grass/branches/releasebranch_6_4/lib/gis/gdal.c

 I don't see any particular backport from GRASS 7 so far.
