[GRASS-dev] Developing GRASS but keeping SCM clean

Hello,
a while ago I asked how to set up an development environment to work on
the GUI:

As I wanna pick up with this I still have the question:
Once I compile GRASS & make my source code changes, will the compilation
process not pollute the working copy and male it impossible to track my
changes with the SCM?

How do you handle this?
