[GRASS-dev] To --enable-64bit or not to?

GD Day Devs!

Configuring with --enable-64bit results in (working on Kubutnu 12.10, 64 bit 
currently):

--%<---
GRASS is now configured for:  x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu
...
  64bit support:               yes
--->%--

while leaving this option out results in

--%<---
GRASS is now configured for:  x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu
...
  64bit support:               no
--->%--

And the question is to 64 or not to?
