 To be honest I would not expect that `r.basin.py` would work. It should be
 enough that `r.basin` works. The name of the module is `r.basin` and only
 this will work for all platforms, so I don't think it would be beneficial
 if some people would write `r.basin` and some `r.basin.py`.
