Thanks for your reply. I shall try that.
I just reinstalled GRASS 7.1, but maybe I have to reinstall from a clean source and remove the existing GRASS settings / addons.

I shall report back...

what is exact problem do you have? I installed wx.metadata

g.extension wx.metadata

and run

g.gui.metadata

the GUI dialog pops up without any error. Do you have fresh installation? Probably clean up your .grass7/addons before installing.
