Problems in DECWINDOWS

    Dear Sirs 

     I work on unix Convex Computer with o.s. 9.1 with graphic interface
       DECSTATION 5000 RISC.
     Last spring I took from public domain address grass4.0 software to
     install it for the first time on my Convex.

     I haven't found any problems with setup or compilation program, but
     now I am not able to setup properly my graphic station.
     
     After GISGEN generation I have done these operations :
     -  run gmake4.0 into directory grass4.0/src/display/devices/XDRIVER
     -  edit file grass4.0/etc/monitorcap and setup only the configuration
        of x0 terminal (uncommenting only the interesting lines but
	unchanging the text)

     Now when I use d.mon program is possible to see my configuration
     station (option 3) in the list, but the program fail when i try
     to use option 1 answering :
     " Error Graph_Set : can't open " .

     Note that this kind of error appear when I didn't forced any external
     graphic display; otherwise if I set my display (setenv DISPLAY 
     mystation:0.0) grass4.0 answer :
      XIO :  fatal IO error 11 (resuorces temporarily unavailable)
     on X server "(null)" after 0 request (0 know processed) with 0
     eventes remaining .

     There is a person so kind to tell me how to solve this problem ?  

     Lately I have seen on public address a new compress file named XGRASS,
     this file is big (40Mb) for my stressed disks, so do you think that
     this could be a useful way to resolve my problem or there is a 
     simple metod to bypass my configuration problem ?
