v.in.arc/ascii

in my last communication, i mentioned the problem of unattached-
attributes-to-arcs warnings after issuing the command v.in.ascii. in
fact i was using v.in.arc  but made the mistake of saying that i was
using v.in.ascii. my streams map is still missing those arcs that
received no attributes. is there a way of overcoming this
inconvenience? thanks.
