m.dem.extract

I've been attempting to read DEM data from a disk file (basically a binary
dump of the orgional 1/2 inch tape). When I issue the command:

	m.dem.extract input='myfile' output='myout' blocksize=2048

where 'myfile' is the disk file, etc. I get the following message:

get_int: error reading number:
