m.dem.extract

Make sure the disk file doesn't have RETURN or LINEFEEDS in the file.
Utilities that extract data from tapes have a tendency to add these
characters. I had posted a one-liner to this list that eliminated
these two characters from the DEM file.

|I've been attempting to read DEM data from a disk file (basically a binary
|dump of the orgional 1/2 inch tape). When I issue the command:
|
|	m.dem.extract input='myfile' output='myout' blocksize=2048
|
|where 'myfile' is the disk file, etc. I get the following message:

|get_int: error reading number: 
|( )
|
|
