m.eigensystem compilation problems

Hi, 
I have been trying to compile m.eigensystem (in src.contrib) in grass4.1beta and am running into the foll. problems: Can anybody shed light please?

NOTE: When I run m.eigensystem, it hangs.... and when I do Cntrl-C
