Exporting SGI graphics?

Until you get the GRASS 4.1 version of SG3d, the best way to save images
is with the SGI program "snapshot". this saves them in SGI's rgb
format, but SGI also provides many tools for converting to other image
formats such as ppm, postscript, targa, sun, gif, and others.

They also have several tools for enlarging/shrinking & editing images.

These are some of the ones I've used before, see their man pages for more
information:

snapshot
ipaste
izoom
istat
movie
imgworks
totarga
toppm
togif
tops
showcase

Also, once you convert rgb images to ppm, you can use pnm-plus tools or
xv, a public domain image viewer/enhancer.
