Because of network hardware difficulties, the link from USA-CERL to the
rest of the world was down for most of the time between Friday afternoon
(1/22) and Tuesday night (1/26).

This of course cut off the GRASShopper lists and the corresponding
newsgroups.  If you tried to send a message during that time, you probably
got a bounce message.  Also, access to the FTP site was not possible from
outside sites during that time.

At any rate, things appear to be back to normal.
