Thanks for helpful replies on shell scripts

To the many folks who responded about changing the path to include my present
directory so I could use scripts I just created:

THANKS!  This users' list proved invaluable, as I not only solved the problem, 
but learned about paths in the process.  I don't know why "." was in my path in
grass4.0 but not grass4.1.  I'm grateful for the help, and thrilled that the
list worked so quickly.
