LT+ on SUN (RAM error)?

     Using the LTPlus from grass4.1 we get an error saying that we
do not have enough RAM when we try to import a "ras" file. The
LTPlus we have on a 386 PC with SCO unix has no problem (8 meg RAM)
were as the SUN 1+ with 16 megs of RAM runs out of RAM. Have we
missed something in the installation/compiling/configuration
process or has the "import ras" command changed with the new
version of LT+ so that the maximum value can not be set?
