v.digit using Altek AC30 (Problems)

I have exactly the same problem with the new v.digit.  Please help !!!
The only difference for me is that I have a AC40 controller, but that
shouldn't change anything in the setup.  This has been a unsolved problem
for me for a long time, but I haven't had the time to dig deep into the
problem.
