Points within polygons

If you label the vector polygons then convert to raster at appropriate
resolution, then possibly run r.clump to be sure each raster polygon
has a unique category number, then run s.menu and choose option 8
for the statistics programs, you will get good stuff.
  If you points map is already in raster form, convert back to points
with creative use of r.stats -1g  .
