v.in.ascii

What's the procedure to get a raster map
from v.in.ascii?

If I don't have the corresponding dig_att,
is it OK?

I tried the following:

	v.in.ascii
	v.support
	v.to.rast
	r.support

But I got a map with one category only.
Everything was categoried as "no data".
I thought it might be something wrong with
my data. SO I tried v.out.ascii quads in
spearfish and then followed the procedure
mentioned above. But I got nothing except
"no data".
