v.out.dxf

Does anyone know if the original v.out.dxf command has ever been fixed up
to create a dxf file that actually contains attributes for the polygons.

There is one part of a dxf file format, called blocks, that I think is 
necessary for attributes to folow the linework over from GRASS.  It does
not look like the programmer who developed v.out.dxf ever got to this
"block" creation in his output.  

Any help would be appreciated.
