Hi, PoKung Lin,

We are thinking about a system similar with yours. Our plan is

   setup NFS servers on some PCs or WS, and put the binary tree into
   the directory to be exported. Then other PCs can mount this
   directory to their own file system.
   NOTE: NFS is quite slow!
  
I do not know if USL UNIX SVR4.2 supports NFS. Linux do support this.
