To HP or not to HP

To Hewlett Packard GRASS users,

   Does GRASS run well on an HP 9000?
   Does GRASS source code compile well on an HP 9000?
   When setting up GRASS on an HP need I do anything different than 
what is explained in the instalation manual?
  Are there other things we should be cautious about when 
considering GRASS on an HP 9000 (720 or 715)?

  Very soon we will be setting up a GRASS workstation here at 
Washigton and Lee University.  We have several HP's on campus 
with very good on campus knoledge of and support of HP's and 
HP-UX.  For this reason we would very much like to go with using an 
HP if we can.             Thanks!
