g.setproj

Im trying to test mapgen, but it is telling me to run

g.setproj before I run the program.  At the grass prompt,

I type "g.setproj" and return.  It seems to hesitate and

drop me out.  It was my understanding that it was to ask

me a few questions and create a file called PROJ_INFO.

Is there something I am supposed to add to the line
 
g.setproj  or is there an alternate way to create this

file without using the command.
