Richard,

I found that, after running the voronoi option in s.geom, I had to use
v.spag to create and connect some of the nodes in the edges of my polygons
before running v.support.  After doing this, I was then able to run v.to.rast
to successfully create the raster layer with proper values assigned to each
rasterized polygon.
