grass/incoming directory seems messy?

It seems to me the grass/incoming directory is getting a little full
in some cases with out of date or no longer useful contributions. Mayge
this is just a mistaken impression? I've been guilty-there are three
Baker.* files on there that I expected would disappear after a month or
so. As I understand it, this directory is maintained by OGI and files
are purged regularly (e.g., every month). That's what it says in
GRASS Clippings 7(1) p. 14 on "Improved Organization in the FTP site."
It also says that if you want your files to stay on grass/incoming for
a longer period, then a message is to be sent to OGI to let them know.
Then those files get put in the grass/incoming/OGI subdirectory. I'm
not interested in bugging OGI about this, but I wonder if we should let
them know via a message to grass-ftp-admin at moon.cecer.army.mil that
certain files we sent can now be purged? Or maybe the policy on all
this has changed? I sent a message to them to ask that the baker.*
files be removed.
