i.rectify continued ...

Sorry to bother the group again, but I found a sollution to my former question,
but that caused a new one.
I think I have asked this before but I lost my notes ...

I run i.rectify on the map that I created with r.in.sunrast, this is setting the
region for this map to:
N:-0.5 S:-575.5 E:625.5 W:0.5

my current region (for the town I am working on)
N:583000 S:580989 E:235360 W:232478

when I run i.rectify I thought that the map created with r.in.sunrast could be
transformed to the right region, but this doesn't happen.
In the manual I read:
"i.rectify will only rectify that portion of the image that occurs within the
 chosen geographic region setting."

but what do I have to do to have this map rectified so it can be layd on the
map of the town
