new XDRIVER to be made bulletproof?

Will anyone out there be "bullet-proofing" Ron Wiemer's *GREAT*
contribution, the XDRIVER that works with Solaris2.x? I got it compiled
and running on a SPARCclassic with Sol2.2, but come up with one identical
problem I had with the original XDRIVER, the graphics window comes up with
"No Name" as its title. Code fixes of this magnitude are far beyond my
current abilities.

I ran it with v.digit, "none" digitizer selected, and it has sped things
up tremendously. Got it to
work with v.digit2, but only in the "none" mode; do I have to re-compile
the "altek" directory of v.digit2 also? I get an error message that says
the display device needs to be started, when it is running and displaying
fine, both before and after v.digit2 for altek bombs out.

Oh, yes, running Openwindows 3.0, compiled items with gcc 2.4.5.

(BTW, has anyone yet got the new v.digit to work with a digitizer under any
flavor of Solaris?)
