Tiger 1992 w/ STF1A

Tiger 1990 seems not available anymore through the Census Bureau.
Instead, they're releasing Tiger 1992. They sell $250 each CD.
On the CD, they also put a subset of STF1A including the info attached
at the end of this email. The total counts of population and dwelling units
are included.

Has anyone had a version of v.apply.census that can be used
to extract STF1A data from this subset came with Tiger 1992?
