ftp site(s) for elevation data

Since that time the ftp site has moved to
edcftp.cr.usgs.gov and in addition to DEMs
it also has DLG and LULC files.

One question has been bothering me with respect
to the DLG 100K files.  What coordinate system
does the USGS use?
