After you do the main GRASS compile & have it working, you can compile any contributed or garden programs by going to that directory (.../src.contrib/CERL/SGI/SG3d) where there is a Gmakefile and run the command "gmake4.1". gmake4.1 just creates a file to use as input to make, then runs make. -Bill
