ps.map output

Iam new to ps.map and am not sure if we have things set up properly here ...

I've selected our driver with ps.select and when I run my ps.map input file
I successfully get an output postscript format file which I then can plot
with the command "lpr outfilename".

My question is this - should I have to issue the print command (lpr) myself
or should grass be set up to do this automattically (as p.map is)?
