LULC Files?

Hello!

I have recently obtained a set of USGS LULC files 
split up into several catagories of :

	grid_cell
	land_use1 and 2
	political
	census
	hydro
	federal

I have used the following commands to import them
into grass

1. dd if=filename of=output ibs=8000 cbs=80 conv=unblock | m.lulc.read outfile
2. m.lulc.USGS outfile


I seem to get a blank screen after the computer has processed the
data.  Am I missing some information about processing the data?
