i.pca memory error

GRASS folks,

  I have been trying to use the principal components analysis program
i.pca and I keep getting the error 'G_calloc: out of memory'.  This
happens right away and with any size region. We are running HP
workstations and one of these has 200m swap space.  Any suggestions as to
why I'm getting this error and how to fix the problem?
