The .tmp directory

I am unable to reach Andreas Holz. Thus I am replying on the list.

The reason the .tmp was created on the database was mainly because
the database is a place where it is assumed that enough file space
exists. This may not be the case with /tmp directory. A df on my
system shows that /tmp filesystem is only 8192KB. Thus many programs
such as r.watershed woul fail if there is not enough space on the
filesystem.
