Good Afternoon,

Is there a way to specify the Azimuthal Lambert Equal Area projection in
g.region of Grass4.1. As this is the projection used by the USGS I would
assume so.

I'm trying to get a raster file into grass but am running into problems with
setting the default region for this file. It covers the area of

top left (50,-104.99)
top right (48.65,-81.25)
bottom right (34.05,-85.19)
bottom left (35.05,-103.91)

I've tried various ways of pullling this "map" in with lat lon coordinates
specified etc. But all I'm getting is garbage. The file is in the
Azimuthal Lambert Equal Area projection.

Many Thanks

Jeremy Dunn
