r.profile HELP!!!!!

O.K.  r.profile is supossed output the values along a
defined line.


Problem.  what seems to be happening is that for distance this
will happen and then it desides to start from a new point
on the line and work back to the old one.

for example:

say x is constant.

start y = 20
      y = 30

      y = 40 goes to 30
      y = 50 goes to 40

Get it?  Has anyone run across this problem before.
Also d.profile gives the correct profile line.


Help.  Thanks for any assistance you can give?
