displaying PCX images

Hello,

Has anyone had the opportunity to display PCX files as raster layers
in GRASS?  I have a scanned image in PCX format and would like to 
import it to GRASS.  If anyone has done so or knows how I can learn
about the PCX file format, I would really love to hear about what 
you know.  Thanks.
