r.in.hdf error

Hi,

I compilded the r.in.hdf and r.out.hdf programs. The programs
compile fine but I get an error (arithmetic error) running r.in.hdf.
r,in.hdf reads the file prints correct sizes but wrong data range and crashes
shortly it began writing.

Now my questions:
Is anybody using r.in/out.hdf ?
I use the PC Transformer program to make the HDF Files ? Is this 
a PC/Unix problem or a prbolem of different HDF versions

Help is very much appreciated. It would make life aa lot easier than
using r.in.ascii.
