I tried running i.image first and then i.ortho.photo and i.ortho.photo seems
to be working fine now. 

P.S. So far I am quite pleased with the new compilation of GRASS4.1.5 for
Linux (ELF). Many of the functions that I could not get working in old set
of binaries (r.poly, r.contour) seem to work fine in the new version.  Many
thanks for making it available.
