Bounding Box Color on d.zoom

Is there any way to change the color of the bounding box that is used
for d.zoom, v.digit, etc?  Mine has become so dark that I can't see it
against the black background.  I'm using SunOS 4.1.3, OpenLook,
GRASS 4.1.
