Format of fonts in GRASS

Hi all

We have imported data from arc-info with lables that are written in a thai
font. Upon investigation of grass fonts to see how to change the font to thai,
we found that a custom font scheme is used. However, we are not able to
decipher how to specify a new font. I was wondering if there was anybody that
knew of documentation describing how to add a new font to the grass fonts or
describing the format of grass fonts.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
