GRASS 4.1 updates?

I'm hoping to build GRASS for our DEC Alphas running OSF/1 (aka Digital Unix), 
following James Ganong's Alpha AXP package from Berkeley:

ftp://ftp.regis.berkeley.edu/pub/grass/grass-alpha-axp-0.7.tar.Z

In the README, he says:
  cd to the directory where you unpacked the grass4.1.5 distribution,
  fp update_8 untarred into it
  which i got from moon.cecer.army.mil:/incoming.

I'm looking for this mysterious update_8 file (no longer in the incoming 
directory). Does anyone know of its location?
