White Rock Consultants and DC Consulting present a
seminar titled "Improved Hydrologic Analysis With
Engineered Rainfall Data". This free seminar
presents a new technology for developing precipitation
data using a combination of rain gauge data and
NEXRAD precip data for application in engineering analysis.
Topics will include a contrast of rain gauge data and
NEXRAD data, data-set calibration, and application to
engineering analysis.
Key presenter will be David C. Curtis, Ph.D.
Dr. Curtis was a flash flood hydrologist for the NWS,
co-founded and worked at International Hydrological
Services and Sierra-Misco, Inc., and now specializes
in flood risk management services. He has degrees
that include a B.S. in Agricultural Engineering from
Penn State, a M.S. in Civil Engineering from the
University of Maryland, and a Ph.D. in Water Resources
from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The seminar will be held at the Wyndham Anatole Hotel
in Dallas, Texas on March 8, from 9:00 AM to 12:00.
Registration starts at 8:30, and the seminar
includes complimentary morning coffee and a Deli lunch.
