How do I get rid of those white monitors? (fwd)

I had this problem before with ERDAS software on a SUN Sparc2. The problem
is probably your video card. The d.display is too color intensive. Turn off
everything you can in your monitor display (backgrounds, clocks, etc.).

I think you are running in colormode float. Change to colormode fixed.

To run from bash, change the entry in the password file to bash instead of
csh.
