Good Morning,

There are a number of formats that can be imported into GRASS through various
routines that have been written. Take a look at the GRASS FAQ page:

http://www.cecer.army.mil/grass/faq.html

Not all the import utilities are part of the main part of GRASS and you will
need to complie these utilities seperately. GRASS can import optional 3 dlgs
and STDS, although you will need to download the C source of the STDS from
the grass archive site. You might also like to take a look at GrassLand:

http://www.cecer.army.mil/grass/LAS/

This product uses the GRASS binaries, but provides pull down selections. This
is much better than XGRASS, and is available for many platforms.

I hope this will help you in your evaluation.
