v.support problems

After converting a raster image to a vector image with "r.poly" I want to
do a reclassification of the vector image in several images; when I want
to study these images using "v.area", I first have to run the "v.support"
program. This "v.support" program (option 1. topology) gives always an
error message.

Is there someone with a solution for this ?
