problems with g.mapsets

Hello list readers,

recently we have the problem that the command g.mapsets isn´t working anymore. If I call it I get the message:

"MAPSET SEARCH LIST UTILITY     LOCATION: Elbeprojekt    MAPSET: spree

Your mapset search list:

spree not found in mapset list:  call greg

Mapset <spree> in Location <Elbeprojekt>"

Does anybody know what went wrong.
