profile / transect from raster file

Hi everybody,

I need to extract some profiles from my raster images. At the first
glance, r.profile does it, but unfortunatly - only the values but no
coordinates. What I want is a x-y-z-output.
Is there a GRASS module providing this, that I did not find up to now,
or does anybody have a script / work around / program perforing a
conversion, or what ever?
